Sample details

EPAD LCS is a prospective, multicentre, pan-European longitudinal cohort study to deeply phenotype individuals at risk of Alzheimer’s dementia (AD) and also to act as a trial-ready cohort for AD prevention trials. The cohort includes over 2,000 participants, recruited mainly from existing parent cohorts in 10 countries across Europe. Participants were over 50 years old, and without a diagnosis of dementia at recruitment in 2016-2019. The participants were followed-up annually to complete a range of comprehensive physical and psychological assessments for up to 4 years.
