The EPIC-Potsdam Study is a population-based prospective cohort study investigating the impact of diet, lifestyle, and environmental factors on the incidence of cancer and chronic diseases like cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes. Between 1994 and 1998, the study recruited over 27,000 participants from Potsdam, Germany, from local population registers. Participants are women aged 35 to 64 years and men aged 40 to 64 years. Participants are followed up every 2 to 3 years through questionnaires and medical examinations to monitor their health status and update information.
