Sample details

EPIPorto is a population-based cohort study aiming to assess the determinants of health in an adult population. Between 1999 to 2004, over 2,400 adult community dwellers of Porto, northwest Portugal, were recruited into the study via random digit dialling of landline telephones to select households. Within each household, a permanent resident aged 18 years or more was randomly sampled for inclusion.
