Sample details

ETFOL aimed to examine neonatal care and health outcomes, focusing on ventilatory support and chronic lung disease (CLD) in a population-based study. A total of 477 infants were involved in the cohort, with 386 having a gestational age (GA) of <28 weeks, and 385 having a birthweight of <1000g, and were recruited via the National Danish Birth Register. Baseline assessments were conducted as perinatal assessments, with follow-ups occurring at 5 months, 1, 2, and 5 years old, the final one in the year 2000, with no planned follow-ups for the future.
