Famenin Brucellosis Cohort Study (HBCS)

The HBCS study aimed to investigate brucellosis in Famenin, a city located in the Hamadan province of Iran. From 2016 to 2018, the study recruited and assessed 3,363 individuals living in urban and rural areas of Famenin. Participants with positive serology and clinical symptoms were followed up every three months for two years, as well as from 2018 to 2020, and participants with negative serology followed up six months after baseline, with a subset followed-up again in 2019.
