The FLEMENGHO study aims to explore the interactions between environmental, genetic, and health factors in understanding health and disease. Participants initially included over 3,000 people recruited from Northern Belgium between 1985 and 1994 above the age of 20. Additional recruitments occurred between 1996 and 2007, including those from ages 10 to 20. The participants were followed up from 1 to more than 4 times until 2013, with 205 participating in more than four follow-ups.
