The Blood Service Biobank collects samples and data for research purposes from blood donors from all over Finland who have given their consent. As of March 2024, over 70,000 blood donors have given valid consent for contributing to the Biobank. The biobank collects DNA samples, plasma samples, serum samples, and cell samples (PBMC).
