Flemish Study on Parenting, Personality, and Development (FSPPD)

Sample details

The FSPPD started in 1999 and followed a sample of 600 Belgian families. The FSPPD contains unique child and parent personality data based on the Big Five personality measures, covering ages 4 to 20 years. In addition, the study collected comprehensive information on both supportive parenting and negative parenting, as well as stressful life experiences. Finally, this study uses a prospective multi-informant multi-method approach: since 1999, mothers, fathers, and teachers have been included, and since 2007, children also function as informants. Between 1999 and 2022, there were ten waves of data collection.
