Sample details

The FTDL study was established as a prospective cohort study of families (child, mother, father) to investigate genomic influences on child health outcomes. Between 2012 and 2019, over 5,000 mother-father-child triads were recruited during the mothers' prenatal care period at 26 weeks’ gestation. The mothers and fathers were aged 18 years or older and planning delivery with the Inova Health System in Falls Church, Virginia, in the United States of America. Mothers participated in longitudinal surveys for 24 months. Between 2016 and 2021, 1,400 mothers and their children participated in the national ECHO Program.
