The FYFF study involves a close partnership working with young fathers and professionals to understand the experiences and support needs of young fathers and to promote a more father-inclusive approach to support. It builds on a baseline study called Following Young Fathers (FYF), which explored the dynamics of young fatherhood over time. FYFF baseline interviews began in 2020 and included a cohort of 32 fathers from the United Kingdom and 10 from Sweden, aged 25 years and younger. Eleven of these participants had originally been interviewed in the FYF study in 2012. Follow-up interviews took place in 2023, and the study is ongoing.
