This study aimed to investigate the relationship between gastroesophageal reflux (GER) and long-term respiratory and gastrointestinal complications in infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), and followed a cohort of 131 infants born at or before 32 weeks’ gestational age, recruited from Sheng Jing Hospital in Shenyang, Liaoning, China. Participants were recruited between January and July 2017 through non-probability sampling from hospital admissions. Participants were followed for 18 months after discharge, with questionnaires administered at 6, 12, and 18 months to monitor late complications.
