The GBS e-cohort was established to quantify the impact of natural environments on mental health and wellbeing in Wales, United Kingdom. It is an e-cohort with national, household-level longitudinal environmental metrics collected annually for 1.4 million residences, linked to longitudinal electronic health records (updated quarterly) from over 2.8 million adults as of 2019. A subgroup of 5,312 survey responses on visits to outdoor spaces and wellbeing is also linked. The dynamic cohort design allows new people to enter the cohort each quarter as they reach the age of 16 or move into Wales.
