This study followed the lives of adolescents working in the adult entertainment sector (AES) in Jhapa, Sunsari and Kathmandu, Nepal, between 2018 and 2020. Qualitative interviews and focus group discussions were first conducted with over 200 adolescent girls and boys working in AES, as well as employers, local individuals, adolescent girls and boys in the community of origin, and key informants with in-depth knowledge of the AES in Nepal. Follow-up was planned with the girls and the key informants initially interviewed, but was carried out only with 10 girls, alongside 35 newly identified study respondents.
