Generation Malawi was designed to study the mental and physical health of Malawian families. The study recruits pregnant women and their families in the rural Chilumba site within the Karonga Health and Demographic Surveillance Site (HDSS) and urban Lilongwe Area 25 Malawi Epidemiology and Intervention Research Unit (MEIRU) site. As of 2023, 1,500 families have been recruited into the study.
