The Gothenburg BEDA Study aimed to investigate risk factors for cardiovascular disease and other diseases in women. Participants were women living in Gothenburg, Sweden, born between 1915 and 1941, with no cardiovascular disease history. Around 1,400 women participated in baseline assessments between 1979 and 1981. Follow-up assessments were conducted between 1997 and 1999.
