Sample details

The GRCHD aims to monitor and investigate the incidence, risk factors, and environmental determinants of congenital heart defects (CHDs) across Southern China. As of 2020, the registry includes approximately 14,900 singleton infants - both CHD cases and controls - along with their mothers. Participants were recruited from hospitals in 21 cities across Guangdong Province, China, during inpatient or outpatient visits. All newborns were examined by specialists before hospital discharge or within 72 hours of birth, and each was followed for one year.
