Growing Up in Scotland tracks the lives of thousands of young people and their families from the early years, through childhood, and now as they move into adulthood. It comprises three cohorts of children: one child cohort and two birth cohorts. The Growing up in Scotland: Child Cohort contains almost 3,000 children born between June 2002 and May 2003. Four sweeps of data were collected from their families from the age of just under 3 years old to around 6 years old.
