The DZHW Panel Study of School Leavers with a Higher Education Entrance Qualification investigates the transition from school to higher education, vocational education and career paths. GSL2018 recruited students who were six months before graduation from schools across Germany. At baseline in 2017, over 39,000 participants were included in the study. In addition to the students, over 600 school principals were also surveyed as part of the GSL2018 baseline data collection. GSL2018 is the first cohort of the DZHW Panel Study of School Leavers to be included in the Student Life Cycle (SLC) Panel. As part of the SLC Panel, GSL2018 participants have been followed up six months, two years and four years after graduation. Participants will be followed up until 2031.
