Helsingborg Birth Cohort (HbgBC)

The HbgBC study is a register-based follow-up of mothers and children aiming to evaluate early life exposures and the risk of adult respiratory disease. The cohort consists of pregnant women who delivered between February 1st, 1964, and January 31st, 1967, at the Department of Obstetrics, Helsingborg Hospital, Sweden. Over 3,500 pregnancies were included, of which 46% of the children were female. The average age of pregnant women within the cohort was 26.5 years.
