Sample details

The HC UMFG followed an occupational cohort in order to investigate the labour situation of health workers, as well as the disease risk to staff within a hospital, and to evaluate the heathcare workers health service (Serviço de Atenção à Saúde do Trabalhador [SAST]). The sample consisted of all hospital workers registered at Hospital das Clínicas of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (HC UFMG) in Brazil between 2000 and 2005, including civil servants and tertiary contracted workers. At baseline, this included over 2,000 participants.
