Sample details

The HELIOS study is one of the four cohorts of PRECISE-SG100K, which aims to recruit 100,000 Singaporeans. The HELIOS study investigates the environmental, lifestyle and genetic factors that cause heart disease, diabetes, cancer and other chronic diseases in Singapore. The cohort includes Singaporeans or Permanent Residents aged 21 to 84 years old. From 2018 to 2022, around 10,000 participants were recruited, and recruitment is ongoing. After baseline assessments, participants are followed up through linkage to health records, with plans to also re-assess participants.
