This study investigated the neurobiology of low-weight eating disorders in young females. From 2014, the study recruited over 100 adolescent and young adult women aged 10 to 23 years from New England, United States of America. Participants either had low-weight eating disorders or were age-matched healthy controls with no lifetime history of psychiatric illness. Participants were assessed at baseline, 9 months, and 18 months.
