The Housing Regeneration and Health study began in 2011, its purpose to assess how the health of residents living in substandard housing in Wales is affected when the housing is improved to meet minimum national standards. The cohort has been created by record-linking anonymized routinely collected data held in health care and social data sets in Wales. The cohort is designed to be a dynamic e-cohort, allowing new residents into the cohort each year as they are born or move into the social housing stock.
