Hisayama Study: 2002 Cohort (HS 2002 Cohort)
The Hisayama Study is a population-based cohort study conducted in Hisayama town, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. The 2002 Cohort began in 2002 and included over 3,100 participants aged 40 or older from Hisayama town. Participants included approximately 75% of the town's residents aged 40 or older. Participants are followed up every 5 years through health examinations and interviews until death or until the end of the Hisayama study.
