Participants of the Harvey Mom Study were pregnant women during Hurricane Harvey, and based in the greater Houston area, United States of America. A two-month follow up was completed following a 4-day expressive writing intervention or control activity. Then, when the babies were six months old, the postpartum assessment was carried out. Of the study population, 79% of mothers were white, 9% were black or African American, and 5% were asian.
