BACK
Sample details

The EPAD study is a longitudinal cohort of over 300 recurrently depressed parents and their offspring in Wales. Families were mainly recruited from general practices in South Wales. Eligible parents were screened in telephone interviews for having had at least two prior episodes of major depressive disorder, and having a biologically related child aged 9-17 years living at home with them. The youngest child within this age range was selected for inclusion if parents had multiple children in this age range.
