Sample details

The ICICLE-PD study aims to identify patients who develop Parkinson’s disease dementia (PDD) and the factors that predict its evolution. From this information, a simplified panel of tests that can be used to predict PDD will be established. Participants were recruited between June 2009 and March 2012 from clinical sites, advertising and primary health care networks in Newcastle-Gateshead and Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. Around 250 participants with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and 100 controls completed baseline assessment and are being followed up every 18 months.
