Impact on the mental health of the new coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19)

This study was a longitudinal online survey evaluating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of the adult population in Brazil. A total of 1,674 individuals aged 18 to 75 years, predominantly females (86.5%), were included in the longitudinal sample. For inclusion in the baseline cohort, participants needed to be at least 18 years old, live in Brazil at the time of data collection, and have access to the internet. Participants were first surveyed in May/June of 2020, and subsequently followed up after 1 month, 6 months, and 2 years.
