Sample details

The INSIST-COG study investigated executive functioning following a minor stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA). The sample consists of 120 individuals from the community who were admitted with either a previous stroke or a TIA and aged between 40 to 90 years, as well as a control group of 50 healthy aging individuals from the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) volunteer registry. Participants who had a clinical diagnosis of previous stroke or TIA were patients from the existing longitudinal INSIST study.
