The InveCe.Ab study, located in Abbiategrasso, in the Italian city of Milan, focuses on individuals born between 1935 and 1939 residing in the city at the study's onset. A comprehensive list of eligible participants was compiled from the municipal registry office. Recruitment involved engagement with local social networks, voluntary associations, and public presentations to inform and invite all eligible individuals to participate in the study. Over 1,300 participants completed baseline assessment in 2009 and participants have been followed up three times, in 2012, 2014 and 2018.
