The IOWBC is a longitudinal study of asthma and allergic disease. The study recruited over 1,400 children born between January 1989 and February 1990 on the Isle of Wight, England, United Kingdom, and their mothers. Participants have been assessed at birth and ages 1, 2, 4, 10, 18 and 26 years, with plans to assess participants at age 34 years.
