JBC is a prospective cohort study exploring prenatal risk factors, early life feeding practice, and growth pattern and adiposity in Chinese children. The study recruited pregnant women with the intention to follow both them during pregnancy and their offspring after birth. All participants were registered in local clinics in one of the seven counties of the Jiaxing Area in southeastern China. Participants were from various occupations and education levels, creating a sociodemographically diverse sample.
