Jamaica Survey of Living Conditions (JSLC)

Sample details

The JSLC collects household and individual data from a subset of Jamaica's population covered by the Labour Force Survey. Information on consumption, health, education, nutrition, housing, demographic characteristics, and the Food Stamp Programme is collected. The survey's primary purpose is to provide the government with information for policy development and planning. Although modelled after the World Bank's Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS) household surveys, it has a narrower focus and greater emphasis on policy impact. In the most recently published data in 2021, the JSLC collected data from over 6,00 participants.
