The Kaunas cohort study is a prospective cohort study of over 4,000 pregnant women living in Kaunas city, Lithuania between 2007 and 2009. Participants were invited to join the cohort on their first visit to a general practitioner, with a first interview conducted during the first pregnancy trimester. Pregnancy outcomes regarding infants were also obtained from medical records and birth certificates.
