KIT aims to analyse the impact of age on child developmental rates across diverse domains among young children living in Taiwan. The study began recruiting in 2016 and involves two cohorts: the KIT-3M cohort, which tracks 5, 185 children from birth to age 2 (at 3, 6, 12, 18, and 24 months), and the KIT-36M cohort, which follows 1,560 children aged 3 to 5 (at 36, 48, and 60 months). The study is currently ongoing, with phase 5 predicted to end in July 2026.
