The KHPS examined the financial activities and socio-demographic characteristics of households and household members in South Korea. The study aimed to investigate how fluctuations in exogenous variables, including government policies, affected each financial body and the resulting changes in their behavioural patterns. At baseline in 1993, over 10,000 adult household members from over 4,500 households were surveyed. Household members were surveyed annually from 1993 to 1998.
