LACW contained information on looked-after children and young people who entered, remained in, and left care in Wales. The data, spanning from 2001 to 2021, includes information on over 37,000 children and more than 310,000 care episodes. The dataset was updated annually with new care episodes for children and young people entering the dataset, as well as for those already in the dataset.
