This study aimed to investigate the outcome, experiences and quality of life of colorectal cancer patients and their caregivers in Edmonton and Calgary, Canada. Beginning in 2018, the study recruited patients aged at least 18 years with advanced colorectal cancer (aCRC) and their caregivers. At baseline, over 100 participants were included in the study. All patients and caregivers were followed up every 1 to 3 months until the patient died or the study ended. Additionally caregivers were followed up 8 weeks after the death of the patient.
