The LonGenity study is the longitudinal component of the Longevity Genes Project, which aims to identify and characterise factors, biological markers and mechanisms leading to exceptionally long life span. The LonGenity study includes 1,100 participants aged 65 years and older of Ashkenazi Jewish descent in New York, United States of America, around half of whom are the offspring of 'super agers', who lived to be 95 years or older. Baseline assessment began in 2008, and participants undergo annual assessments.
