LORA aims to investigate how resilience leads to positive long-term outcomes in the face of adversity. The study recruited participants from the cities of Mainz and Frankfurt in the Rhine-Main region of Germany. All participants were aged between 18 and 50 with normal or corrected vision, a good level of the German language, no known learning disabilities, and no diagnosis of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or any other axis I disorder or severe medical condition. At baseline, over 1,100 participants were included in the cohort.
