Sample details

The LOS was a large-scale longitudinal survey that explored disability in terms of the social barriers to participation that people experience in Great Britain, United Kingdom. Private households were randomly sampled from across Great Britain based on postcodes and invited to participate. At wave one, over 30,000 adults with and without impairments from across nearly 20,000 households participated in the survey. Participating households provided data at three time points: Wave One (2009 - 2011), Wave Two (2010 - 2012) and Wave Three (2012 - 2014).
