Sample details

LSYPE2 is an annual follow-up of young people, since the young people were aged 13-14 years in 2013. The study captures pupils: from local authority maintained schools, academies and independent schools; pupils eligible for free school meals; and pupils with special education needs. For practical reasons, it excludes pupils from small schools and overseas students. In waves 1-3, the study has also collected data from the young persons' parents.
