The Monzino 80-plus Study is a prospective, population-based study investigating cognitive decline and dementia among residents aged 80 years and older in the Varese province of Italy. A total of 2,504 individuals completed baseline assessments for the study, of which, 72.6% were female. Since 2002, participants have been assessed at their place of residence and followed-up every 12-18 months.
