MAGIC aims to track how various factors, such as antibiotics and the environment, impact children's microbiome development, as well as how this interacts with their physical growth and development. Between 2016 and 2018, approximately 500 children born in Pennsylvania Hospital, United States, who were less than 96 hours old, were recruited. From this point, the children were followed at 1 month, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months. The study ended when all children reached 2 years old.
