MAUCO consists of Molina, Chile residents aged 38 to 74 years who have resided in the area for at least six months in the previous year and planned to stay for the next three years, excluding those unable to provide informed consent or diagnosed with a terminal illness. Through a household census and geo-referencing, a target population of 14,000 individuals was identified, aiming for 10,000 enrollments, with recruitment conducted through home visits. Over 8,000 Molina residents consented to participate in the study.
