The “Mental Health Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on NIMH Research Participants and Volunteers” survey enrolled more than 3,600 participants from all 50 states of the United States. Every 2 weeks for 6 months, participants completed a questionnaire about COVID-19, mental health symptoms, and stress. The mean age of this final sample was 46.5 years, with a range from 18 to 87 years. The sample was predominantly female (83.2%) and white (90.2%).
