The MHI Biobank aims to advance personilised medicine by collecting and analyzing biological samples and health data from a large cohort of participants in Quebec, Canada. Participants are adults who have been treated at the Montreal Heart Institute and external volunteers. In 2007, the study began recruiting and as of 2015, had reached 20,000 participants. Participants are followed up every four years, with the study planning to follow them for the rest of their lives.
