The MIDJA study was set up to compare midlife development between residents of the United States of America from the Midlife in the United States study (MIDUS), and Japan. In MIDJA, the participants were based in Tokyo, Japan, and aged 30 to 79 years. Over 1,000 participants were recruited, and of these, 51% were female.
