MINA aimed to examine the effects of lifestyle characteristics, maternal and infant nutrition on birth outcomes and growth patterns using a cohort of women from Lebanon and Qatar. Between 2015 and 2018, the study recruited women in the first trimester of pregnancy from Beirut (Lebanon) and Doha (Qatar). At baseline, over 300 participants were included in the cohort. Participants were followed up 10 times, including three times during pregnancy and at delivery, as well as at 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, and 24 months after delivery. After delivery, 272 babies were included in the cohort. Babies were followed up at birth and at 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, and 24 months after birth.
