Sample details

The MISS study aimed to create a prospective, population-based cohort of women from southern Sweden, collecting information on environmental and genetic factors. The study recruited women between the ages of 25 and 65 years who lived in southern Sweden and had no history of malignancy. Approximately 30,000 participants were first interviewed between 1990 and 1992 and were followed up approximately every 10 years. Data was also collected via linkage to external registries. Follow-up continued until emigration, death, or 31 December 2015.
